REMAKE OCEAN TM
Approximately 46% of the 79 thousand tons of ocean plastic in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch is made up of fishing nets, some as large as football fields, according to the study published in March 2018 in Scientific Reports, which shocked the researchers themselves who expected the percentage to be closer to 20%.

640,000 tons of fishing nets are lost, abandoned or discarded at sea every year – also known as “ghost nets” – can continue killing indiscriminately for decades and decades, entangling or suffocating countless fish, sharks, whales, dolphins, sea turtles, seals and marine birds every year. An estimated 30% percent of the decline in some fish populations is a result of discarded fishing equipment, while more than 70% of marine animal entanglements involve abandoned plastic fishing nets.
Most of fishing nets are made by Nylon, which can be remade into renewable nylon polymers.

OUR AIM:
To stop fishing net being discarded into the ocean and remake them into fully traceable and renewable polymers to save the ocean.
REMAKE OCEAN TM was born
HOW DO WE DO IT
we collect discarded fishing net from fishing companies and ocean cleanups in the world and remake the waste into high-performance renewable polymers and products through innovative technology and sustainable design
Net Collection
Discarded fishing nets are collected from Australia and Asia by NGOs
Transporting
Nets are cleaned, separated by material type and organized for transport
Recycling + Modification
Nets are shredded and melted into high performance recycled pellets "REMAKE OCEAN TM"
Production Application
Pellets are formed into quality products, built for a multi recyclable circular solutions
PRODUCT INNOVATION & APPLICATION
WWF X ARISE X REMAKEHUB X REFUTURE
An upcycling solution for commercial gill nets. Partnership with WWF X ARISE, REMAKEHUB was able to receive 500kg of the discarded fishing net from Australia the Great Barrier Reef and turned them into 100% recycled sustainable sunglasses, ReefCycle. REFUTURE is a sub-brand under REMAKEHUB, it is used to trace the entire journey of how fishing net was collected and made into final sunglasses via QR codes.

FISHING NET MADE OFFICE CHAIR
Demand for office furniture is growing rapidly, driven by rising urbanization and an associated increase in ‘white-collar’ jobs. By 2024, the size of the industry will be about USD100 billion dollars. Manufacturing office furniture requires a high volume of input materials and energy. After a typical 5-7 year usage period, 80-90% of these valuable resources are lost to landfill or incineration.

REMAKEHUB aims to create a multi circular material to push the industry GO GREEN.
